In 1974, a visionary idea was born. Our founder saw an opportunity in the GCC food market—at a time when all spices were imported loose and unbranded. He imagined something new: spices carefully blended and packed in Bahrain, ready for homes and businesses, preserving their aroma, freshness, and heritage.
From this vision, Bahrain Modern Mills & Roasters W.L.L was founded—the first company in Bahrain to blend and pack spices, and among the earliest pioneers across the GCC. What made our products truly special was the authenticity of our blends, inspired by recipes and spice mixes passed down from Bahraini women, each with her own unique touch. These heritage blends became the foundation of our reputation.
Over the decades, our family business has grown into one of the leading names in the packaged food industry across Bahrain and the GCC, proudly owning the trademark “Abu Dallah”—registered under Bahrain Modern Mills & Roasters. Our traditional Arabic coffee pot (Dalla) logo has become a trusted market symbol, representing our promise of quality, authenticity, and tradition.
In 2018, we became the first spice company in Bahrain to achieve ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System certification. By 2021, we proudly upgraded to the latest ISO 22000:2018 certification, reaffirming our commitment to quality, safety, and tradition.

Our Facilities
Since 2015, our modern factory in the Industrial Area – Hidd has been equipped for cleaning, grading, roasting, grinding, blending, and packing, meeting both local and international quality standards.
An additional facility in the same area further boosts capacity, enhances efficiency, and ensures secure raw material storage — helping us meet growing demand while maintaining excellence.
In 2025, we expanded once again with the establishment of a new, state-of-the-art factory, designed to increase production capacity, integrate advanced automation, and support our continuous growth across Bahrain and the GCC.
